Lo Spyderco Matriarch 2 si basa sul popolare design dello Spyderco Endura ed é adatto all'uso tattico e professionale. Il coltello é dotato della tecnologia di apertura a onda Emerson, ideata da Ernest Emerson.

Questo coltello ha una lama a forma di S con un bordo seghettato a falco. La lama é realizzata in acciaio inossidabile giapponese VG-10 e ha una finitura nera al carbonitruro di titanio. La lama é scavata e si apre con un foro per il pollice o con la tecnologia Emerson wave, che si trova sulla parte superiore della lama. Il coltello é assicurato con un backlock.

Il manico del coltello é realizzato in FRN nero testurizzato (nylon riempito di fibra di vetro). Il manico é dotato di un foro per la coulisse e di una clip da tasca.
