The flysheet is made from polyester with a polyurethane coating, which gives it a hydrostatic head of 4,000 mm. The seams are sealed with heat-sealed tape to prevent leakage. The lining is made from nylon with a polyurethane coating, which gives it a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm. The poles consist of Dural (7001) segments with a diameter of 9.5 mm (main poles) and 8 mm (reinforcement above the bedroom entrance).

Description

The tent is a double-skin design and consists of an inner tent and an outer flysheet. The inner tent has a rectangular floor plan with one entrance on the longer side. The outer tent has a large porch, which can be accessed via two different entrances.

Tent concept

It is based on a pole construction principle threaded through tunnels of perforated material outside the flysheet. Once the poles are threaded through the tunnels, the flysheet and inner tent (which is suspended beneath the flysheet) are erected simultaneously. The advantage of this method is that the inner tent can be separated from the flysheet, and the flysheet can then be pitched independently, creating a single-skin tent without a floor.

Ventilation

Ventilation is located at the top of the flysheet dome. The ventilation windows are shaped so that they do not lean in the wind. This prevents air loss even in heavy rain and strong wind.

Tent construction

Thread the structural poles through the perforated sleeves on the outside of the tent and insert the pole ends into the brass rings on the attachment loops at the bottom edge of the tent. Then clip the buckles on the straps at ground level inside the tent and pitch the tent. Secure the inner tent to the attachment loops on the inside of the tent. Anchor the tent with pegs and guy lines and secure with plastic buckles.
