Il lato inferiore ha uno strato impermeabile e riflettente, quindi la coperta ha un effetto di isolamento termico. Il bordo é orlato con nastro e cucito due volte. La coperta da picnic può essere fissata al terreno con 4 occhielli. Può essere utilizzata anche come telo da tenda, telone o coperta d'emergenza.
