Si accende per circa 6 ore (a seconda del vento) e disperde o uccide zanzare e altri insetti (attenzione: é velenosa per le creature a sangue freddo come i pesci). La superficie efficace in buone condizioni é di circa 28 m². É più efficace in condizioni di tempo calmo.
