Damp ground, night dew and unexpected rain can ruin even a good sleeping bag. The MIL-TEC Modular sleeping bag cover is the outer layer of the modular sleep system and keeps water away from the insulation. Use it as an additional layer over your sleeping bag or on its own as a bivy bag.

Three-layer laminate with a 5,000 mm water column

The outer layer is 96% polyester with 4% elastane, the middle layer a breathable polyester membrane and the inner layer 100% polyester. In practice water can't get in from outside while body moisture is carried out – breathability is 500 g/m² in 24 hours. The cover also adds extra thermal insulation to your sleeping bag.

Roomy cut for most sleeping bags

The cover is deliberately cut wide, so even a bulkier 4-season sleeping bag fits inside without compressing the fill. The 2-way side zipper allows quick entry and ventilation as needed, and wide fabric strips fastened by press studs shield the zipper from water.

PHANTOMLEAF® CIV-TEC® camouflage

PHANTOMLEAF® is a camouflage concept developed in Germany. The patterns are engineered through digital analysis of the specific terrain, and the algorithm also accounts for movement against a changing background – so the camouflage works across a wider range of conditions than conventional patterns. At the same time the patterns remain distinct enough to keep friend-or-foe identification possible within a group. The CIV-TEC® series is developed by PHANTOMLEAF® specifically for MIL-TEC®.

WASP I Z3A variant

Z2 is optimised for dry vegetation, steppes, semi-desert and partially rocky terrain. In temperate zones it suits forest and rural areas from late summer to late autumn. It is an alternative to patterns such as MultiCam, Arid MC Camo and Pentacamo.
