L'estensore di bit a cricchetto è dotato di un sistema a cricchetto compatto ed è adatto all'uso sia con punte piatte Leatherman che con punte standard da 1/4". Uno speciale alloggiamento magnetico consente di inserire saldamente nell'estensore sia le punte piatte Leatherman che quelle standard da 1/4".

Il cricchetto è stato progettato per essere adatto a lavori di controllo della filettatura sia per destri che per mancini. Il sistema compatto consente un comodo utilizzo in movimento rotatorio o in avvitamento, con la direzione opposta bloccata per evitare rotazioni indesiderate della filettatura. Una terza posizione blocca il cricchetto, consentendo di utilizzare l'attacco come un tradizionale attacco per punte fisse.

L'attacco per punte a cricchetto magnetico è compatibile con tutti i multiutensili Leatherman dotati di un adattatore per punte piatte grandi.
