This free-standing double-wall tent with an external frame gives two adults a comfortable night on treks, cycle tours and longer lightweight trips.

A free-standing vestibule on top

The vestibule holds its shape on its own, so you get a covered space in front of the entrance without having to guy it out separately. Light, strong 8.5 mm aluminium poles together with lightweight aluminium pegs keep the tent stable even in bad weather. The tent can also be pitched without the inner bedroom — just the flysheet with the floor — which saves further grams when you travel really light.

Silicone-coated ripstop nylon on both sides

The 20D 360T ripstop nylon flysheet has silicone coating on both sides and a 3,000 mm H₂O water column certified to ISO 811:2018. The silicone coating protects the fabric from moisture and from UV light and allows the lowest possible fabric weight. The breathable 190T nylon inner tent with mosquito mesh keeps air moving, and the 70D 210T nylon groundsheet with a PU coating has a 10,000 mm H₂O water column.

Pros and cons of the Husky Sawaj Triton 2

✓ Pros: a free-standing vestibule that ordinary ultralight tents do not have, a weight under 2.3 kg, silicone coating on both sides with UV protection, a certified water column, the option of pitching without the inner bedroom, aluminium poles and pegs.

✗ Cons: the 120 cm height does not let you stand up, the thin ultralight fabrics need careful handling, pegs are needed to anchor the vestibule, and there is no repair kit in the package.
