Le pareti incredibilmente sottili di 2 mm, più sottili della maggior parte delle bottiglie di plastica a parete singola, mantengono la bevanda fredda per 20 ore e calda per 10 ore. Il Microlite 500 Flip è particolarmente adatto per lo sci di fondo o per un po' di trekking. Il thermos GSI Microlite è 1/3 più sottile dei thermos tradizionali.
