Fenix TK15R with a maximum output of up to 3200 lumens brings, as one of the few handheld flashlights in the world, a unique IRIS X smart sensor. This innovative technology automatically adjusts the flashlight’s output based on ambient light and the distance to the illuminated object. What does this mean in practice? When using the IRIS X mode you will not be blinded by unpleasant reflections from a nearby wall, obstacle, or when reading a map – the flashlight will instantly and automatically reduce brightness. However, as soon as you aim into a dark open space, it will immediately release extreme output of up to 2000 lumens. Thanks to the top-notch LED Luminus SFT70 it reaches an impressive throw distance of up to 490 meters. For perfect control in crisis situations there is a tactical tail switch complemented by an intuitive side rotary switch. This allows smooth switching between the classic Duty mode, the IRIS X smart mode, and locking the flashlight.
The head of the flashlight is equipped with a striking bezel, so it can be used to break glass or for self-defense. Robust construction guarantees trouble-free use in the most demanding conditions. The flashlight is powered by one high-capacity Li-ion 21700 5000 mAh battery (included). It is charged directly in the flashlight via a modern USB-C connector with fast-charging support (up to 21 W) and provides power for more than 68 hours of lighting. The relentless and waterproof design primarily makes this smart tactical flashlight suitable for harsh outdoor conditions, professionals, armed forces, rescue operations, and hunters.
All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, runtime on battery, waterproofness, throw, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Fenix TK15R flashlight specifications
- A top white LED Luminus SFT70 with a lifespan of 50,000 hours is used.

Use of the TK15R flashlight
The battery may have an insulating sleeve inside the flashlight from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.
On/Off: When the flashlight is unlocked, to turn on/off fully press the tactical tail switch at the end of the flashlight. For instant activation, press the button lightly. Turn the side rotary switch to the middle position to enter Lockout mode and the flashlight will turn off.
Switching modes: Use the side rotary switch to cycle through modes: IRIS X Mode <-> Lockout <-> Duty. In Duty mode, press the side functional button to cycle output (30 - 350 - 1000 - 3200 lumens). In IRIS X mode, use the functional button to switch between automatic IRIS X mode and 150 lumens. To activate the Strobe press and hold the side functional button for 0.5 seconds (the flashlight must be on and unlocked).
IRIS X mode logic: The sensor module in the reflector automatically adjusts brightness based on ambient light. Below 5 lux (complete darkness) it operates at maximum. At about 70 lux (dim basement) it outputs 1500 lumens. At 100 lux (office) it outputs roughly 800 lumens. If an obstacle is close (about 10 cm), output automatically drops to 30 lumens to prevent glare from reflection.
Intelligent overheat protection - because the flashlight reaches extreme output, its temperature rises. If the temperature exceeds 55°C, output will automatically reduce. Once the temperature falls below 55°C, full output can be used again.
Battery charge indicator - the flashlight always indicates battery charge status three seconds after turning on. Green indicates 100% - 85%, green blinking (85% - 50%), steady red (50% - 25%) and blinking red indicates critically low battery (less than 25%). If voltage falls below the set level, the flashlight will reduce brightness to a lower level.
Charging - flip open the rubber dust cover of the charging connector on the side of the flashlight and plug in the supplied cable (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer, or a USB adapter for mains or car (supporting up to 21 W). During charging the side indicator lights red. After full charge it lights green. Charging a fully depleted battery takes about 1.5 hours (when using a 9 V / 3 A source). After charging is complete, carefully reseal the cover.
Warning
- Use only quality rechargeable 21700 batteries with protective electronics.
- Remove the battery or lock the flashlight to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport.
- When replacing the battery, unscrew the head of the flashlight and insert the battery with the positive pole toward the head. Then fully tighten the head again.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after long use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules the flashlight will remain properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight is flickering, not switching to higher output modes, or not lighting up, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The battery is discharged - charge or replace it.
- Contacts inside the flashlight are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol.
- The flashlight head is loose, tighten it.
