Arpol like the American MRE contains a flameless heater in this military ration. Compared to the American Meal Ready to Eat, the main advantage of the Arpol food package is strict control of product food safety. This package contains food for one substantial meal. The advantage of the Arpol VJ package is the speed at which you can start eating, without a conventional stove and without much effort. The packages are fresh, with a sufficiently long shelf life, whereas American MREs typically have unknown consumption dates. Complies with NATO military standards
